(NOTE: The 12-bit sensor readout mode is currently only available for the Sony IMX174 and the Sony IMX250 cameras.)


Please notify us if you would like to update your IMX174 or IMX250 to the 12-bit firmware version and an update application will be provided to you.


In order to update to the 12-bit firmware, the following requirements must be met:

  • Camera model must be either IMX174 or IMX250.
  • Camera must have firmware version 1.3.4 or later installed.
  • Host pc must have IsgU3VGui_version 209 or later installed.

(The GUI version can be found by right clicking in the header of the GUI and selecting "ABOUT")

 


(The firmware version can be found on the ISG GUI under Device Control > Firmware Version)

If the camera does not have firmware version 1.3.4 or later installed, you will need to run two separate update applications; one to update to the 10-bit firmware version (1.3.4 or later), and then another to update to 12-bit firmware version.  Upon request, you will be sent the upgrade application(s).  Download and run the application(s) as shown below.



STEP 1:  With the camera connected, open the upgrade application and click "Perform Upgrade"

STEP 2:  Wait for update to complete 




STEP 3: Once the update is finished, click "SW Reset" to reboot the camera

STEP 4: The update is complete when the message "Camera Ready for Update" appears. Click "OK" to close upgrade application.


STEP 5: 
If you needed to first update to version 1.3.4 or later of the 10-bit firmware, you should now repeat the same steps to install the 12-bit firmware version.
