Case Temperature and Heat Dissipation

NOTE: The camera can become very warm to the touch when running in some modes; this is expected behavior and will not damage the electronics. Below are the recommendations if the case temperature is a concern for you.

Please take into consideration the following precautions:

  1. Mount the camera on a mounting bracket that is composed of a heat conductive material (ie. aluminum), to provide a heatsink for the camera.
  2. Ensure the flow of heat from the camera case to the bracket is not blocked by a non-conductive material (ie. plastic).
  3. Provide enough space around the camera to facilitate the free flow of air. (The use of a cooling fan to set up air flow around the camera is suggested.)
