Error Message: 

  • "MedleyCam Control Camera in exclusive use by another process"


Cause the error message:


This message appears in the ActiveX window when...

  •  Another process is already connected to the camera. (For example, if you run a second instance of UcamViewer, it will appear in it.) 
  • Or if there is a hidden process in the memory left from the previous execution.  


How to eliminate the error message:


We've found that...

  • Unplugging the camera and plugging it back in usually corrects the problem. 
  • Sometimes closing any open Web browser will eliminate the error message.
  • Right click on the application and select run as administrator
